Xanga. So many good memories. I can't say I'm particularly proud of how incredibly un-awesome I was at this point in my life, but seeing this will never fail to make me laugh, hard. I'm thinking that's good.
Wow, I cannot fathom how I managed to write SO much every single day on this. Now, I'm finding myself at a complete loss for words to say anything meaningful. I think that must be it. At this point in my life, currently, I understand the importance of only writing things that matter, that have purpose in existing. Not just rambling about random (Haha. I also used to say I was random. Good stuff.) things and sometimes not even typing words at all. I can't brag about always writing meaningful stuff online today, I still do one too many gay MySpace surveys. But, at least now I can be reasonably realistic and see that all of those things don't really matter in life at all, and no one will probably read them anyway (except for Josh and Micah basically). Even now, I'm beginning to wonder if this entry in itself is not overly pointless. But...I suppose the reason I am writing today is because my dear Joshua asked me to. That's a pretty good reason, considering he's awesome and stuff. It's funny, I've met a lot of people in the time between last updating this sweet blog, and today. People who have changed my life, and made me realize even more how life is worthless and fairly miserable without Christ.
I see that my capacity for writing has not lessened over this dormant stage of my Xanga, I still ramble.One thing, that I would commend my former 7th grade self on, is a passion for the Word of God. Not that I have by any means lost that, in fact, now I realize it's vitality more than ever. And the depth of its wonder is clearer to me, today. But, I had ambition to be immersed in it every day, and include it in my online activities. So that's real cool and stuff.

(ok everyone......i already typed this once, and the dumb computer deleted it. so............. i will make this much much shorter.)
I will not be on AIM or xanga for the next 21 days. (yeah i know it sounds crazy. but just listen.) We started a "media fast" at youth group and we're not using, well media for 21 days. "Why?" You ask? Its part of the process to RENEW and TRANSFORM our mindset, so that we arent conformed to the world, but we are set apart, as we are originally called by God. now as far as the rules, its simple:
-NO t.v.
-NO computer/internet
-NO movies
-NO video games
-NO secular music...only uplifting music that talks about God.
all this, for 21 days.
maybe u think im insane, but thats your opinion i guess....and if you know me very well, you probably already thought that about me anyways, even before you read this. (haha.)
this whole mindset is based off of one Bible verse, that happens to be my absolute favorite. its like this:
[ROMANS 12:2] Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be tranformed by the renewing of your mind. Then, you will be able to test and approve what God's will is. His good pleasing, and perfect will.
